  1. From your Shopify admin, click Customers .
  2. Click the name of the customer you want to invite.TipIf the customer you are inviting is not on the list, you will need to add them first.
  3. Click Send account invitation .
  4. You can change the Account Invitation Notification email by changing the details in the Send Account Invitation window. If you want to make permanent changes to the Account Invitation Notification email, you'll need to update the notification before sending the account invitation email. You can change your activation email by:

– choose who sent the invitation using the From drop-down menu – select blind copy recipients. – edit the default copy of your invitation email, by clicking the Notifications link in the Custom Messages area.

  1. Click Check Email .
  2. Confirm your personalized message, if you entered one, and the customer information in the Send Account Invitation window.
  3. Click Return to make more changes or Send Notification to have Shopify send the account activation email.


You can only send customer account invitations from the desktop version of your Shopify admin. This option does not appear in the mobile application.
